The Morlaix Viaduct
The town of Morlaix on the north coast of Brittany is a lovely old town that covers the hills and rolls down into a valley where the old quarter still contains 15th century stone and timber overhanding houses over original cobbled streets. The crowning glory of Morlaix is an enormous railway viaduct that towers over the town like a colossus. Even Gernman bombers in World War II couldn’t shake it’s foundations. Today it serves the SNCF railway line and defines the area in a unique and beautiful way.
